If you are a regular reader of our blog, you may remember remember reading our article last year about 3 bedrooms going for a million dollars per bedroom in Back Bay. Well it’s 2015 and it seems this million dollars per bedroom is expanding into other parts of the city as well.
For 2015 we’re seeing the million dollar per bedroom price in almost every new development as well as some old ones. For the first time we’re also seeing this not limited to just 3 bedroom homes either we are witnessing it in the 1 and 2 bedroom layouts as well. Yes, you read that correctly there are a number of 1 bedroom layouts that are currently priced at or above a million dollars.
Millennium Tower will come as no surprise since it made our list last year of the residences that had pricing at a million dollar per bedroom rate but it’s no confirmed that plenty of the 2 bedroom layouts come with this price.
Mandarin Oriental Residences will surprise some as the new to market units come in at this price. Many of the 2 bedrooms are priced in excess of $2 Million, but what’s most surprising is that some of the 1 beds are priced at $1.2 million or more.
The Harvard Club Residences are all priced well above the million dollar per bedroom number we are talking about here. As we covered in a previous post they do include a Harvard Club membership so the increased cost can be explained a little bit.
Residences at the Hooper Mansion this one is on the list for a surprising reason. The 1 bed layout in this building comes in at more than $1.2 million. It includes a deeded parking space and access to a rooftop garden.
W Boston also makes the list with a number of 1 bedroom units priced in excess of $1 Million dollars.
